Technical Assistant to support – UNDP – Manila

Duties and Responsibilities
Scope of Work
The Technical Assistant is expected to perform the following tasks:
Provide on-site coordination support to the GMC-PHI National Consultants (NCs) for the BSC and OCT marine commodities with regard to the implementation of their respective activity roll-out plans, as approved by the BSC and OCT respective Technical Working Group (TWG) marine commodity platforms;
Conduct supplementary desktop research, including, but not limited to, socio-economic, statistical, and demographic information, as required by the NCs in the development of the RCA and NMP;
Coordinate the retrieval of data from various government offices, within BFAR, and/or among other sources, as required by the NCs in the development of the RCA and NMP;
Provide support for the Finance and Admin Officer and Administrative Assistant in the processing up to the release of payment tranches for the NCs, as approved by their respective TWG oversights;
Support the project team in preparing project reports and other project related materials (e.g., Quarterly and Annual Progress reports);
Support in organizing meetings workshops, trainings and events (preparing minutes, drafting and sending out invitations, agenda and drafting follow up actions);
Performs other tasks as assigned by the National Platform Officer.

Required Skills and Experience
Qualifications of the Successful Individual Contractor
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in sociology, foreign international relations, economics, and/or other related fields
Experience
At least three (3) months work experience in field administrative assistance, training support, and/or other related tasks, preferably for international development organization/s
At least one (1) year work experience in administrative assistance, logistics, procurement support, preferably for international development organization/s
Language requirements
Excellent English writing and communication skills.
